Hi Kelly
Loved this place when I visited Melbourne.
Sorry hear about Hopetown Tea Rooms.
Have wonderful New Year with family and friends.
Regards,
Ann Beale
Dear Kelly, you kept it quiet for such a long time. All the strength to you and your family. Remeber there is always “KARMA”. People like the landlords that you had the misfortune of having to deal with will sooner or later get what they deserve.
Stay strong, and we look forward to catching up with you when in Melbourne, next.
Kelly, do not give up. You are not the type of person to deserve this criminal behaviour from a landlord.
What on earth does the landlord think he is, to treat its tenants like that?
It seems to me that the landlord has over stepped their role here and must have consequences for their actions.
For a landlord to behave in such a way, there must be other stories, similar.
Can’t believe this whole saga. It would make a good movie. The Hopetoun Tea Rooms was always one of my favourite places to visit when I was in Melbourne. Keep fighting on.
Thanks for your email and website update. I only last month told a friend about the Tea House. They are moving down that way, and will be visiting the Bourke Street Tea House. Very sad for you.
The Hopetoun Tearooms when Kelly was running it – was better than what it is now. The business that is there now, is not as good, I will only now go to the Bourke Street – original.
Thank you Kelly for sharing your story and your struggles with the Block Arcade. We had no idea that this was all occurring, whilst you looked after us without ever dropping your professionalism and care for all that attended. The Block Arcade will never be the same without operators such as yourself.

Its so refreshing to hear the other side of the story 👍

What a shameful act by the landlord and the guard that works for him
