    1. Thank you for your support. The Truth always comes out. It’s FACT. Time always Tells the Truth.

  1. You can only speak as you find. Tea rooms will not survive if food and service does not meet everyones expectation

    1. A $2M fit out and assets were prevented from being removed from the premises when the business was sold, by false claims supported by the Lord Mayor that everything in the premises was “heritage protected”. Essentially stolen! This enabled the landlord to reopen a copycat business with my assets, my recipes, my goodwill, and the Hopetoun Tea Rooms sign still remaining in the front window. According to Heritage Victoria, the only protected item is the etched mirror. Everything else is owned by Hopetoun Tea Rooms

  2. Almost 20 years ago, I remember, as a newly arrived migrant from the US, taking a tour of the arcade and with a lovely guide who remembered working in the arcade. The tour finished at Hopetoun Tea Rooms for tea and a they also gave you a copy of Hopetoun’s famous cake they used to make in WWII with available ingredients and rations. Would you still happen to have that recipe?
